Gilbert's Shoes is a community center that is free of charge to groups/community members who host free events.
We rely on grassroots community support to help pay for city taxes, utilities, supplies and building maintenance.
We have never applied for or accepted a grant and we are not a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We feel this to be important for maintaining our independence and responsiveness/accountability to the community even though it means donations are not tax deductable.
Help keep our doors open! You can donate online here (using the PayPal button link below) or contact us about other ways to participate or donate directly or through the mail. We always need help if you would rather donate your labor and we are also looking for specific construction materials or tools at any given time.
